Lam Dong province is facing a significant turning point in its mining and metallurgy industry as Duc Giang Chemicals Group (DGC) officially completes the merger with Lam Dong Bauxite-Aluminum LLC (LDA). This event not only marks the emergence of a new force in the industry but also lays a solid foundation for the formation of Vietnam's largest and most modern aluminum value chain.
The merger was approved by DGC's General Meeting of Shareholders, paving the way for a strategic project with LDA's total charter capital of VND 1,238 billion. This is a strategic move, combining DGC's financial strength and management experience with the abundant bauxite resources in Lam Dong.
The project's goal is to build a closed-loop bauxite-alumina-aluminum complex with a planned capacity of up to 2 million tons of alumina per year. The first phase of the project will focus on producing 1 million tons of alumina and 130,000 tons of aluminum ingots, with a total estimated investment of about VND 25,000 billion (equivalent to 1 billion USD). The formation of a complete aluminum value chain will help Vietnam achieve self-sufficiency in alumina supply, reduce dependence on imports, and move towards exporting to the global market.
The project does not stop at producing raw materials but also aims to develop high-value-added downstream products. The applications of aluminum are diverse, from construction and transportation to consumer goods, opening up a vast market for the plant's future products.

The establishment of this complex is expected to create a strong boost for the socio-economic development of Lam Dong province, creating thousands of jobs and contributing significantly to the local budget. Duc Giang Chemicals is committed to applying the most advanced, modern, and environmentally friendly technologies in the mining and processing process, ensuring sustainable development.
With extensive experience in the chemical industry, DGC has a significant advantage in optimizing the alumina production process, especially in treating red mud—a major environmental challenge in the bauxite industry. This ensures the project is not only economically efficient but also environmentally safe.
Once operational, the plant will supply strategic products to the market. In addition to alumina and aluminum ingots, the project will develop deep-processed aluminum products such as aluminum sheets, aluminum coils, and solid aluminum bars. High-quality aluminum alloys will also be produced to serve high-tech industries like aerospace, automotive, and electronics, affirming Vietnam's position on the global industrial map.
In particular, products like checkered aluminum plates will meet the high demand in industrial flooring and transportation, helping to diversify the product portfolio and maximize value from bauxite ore.
