The Hanoi Capital Region Ring Road 4 project, one of Vietnam's key national transportation infrastructure initiatives, officially commenced construction on June 25, 2023. This route is expected to become a new backbone, strongly promoting the socio-economic development of provinces and cities within the Northern Key Economic Region.

The Ring Road 4 has a total length of approximately 112.8 km, passing through the territories of three main provinces and cities: Hanoi, Hung Yen, and Bac Ninh. Additionally, the project includes a connecting section to Bac Giang province, spanning about 20.8 km, significantly increasing the total related length. The total investment for the project is estimated to be between 65 trillion VND and 66.5 trillion VND, implemented under both public-private partnership (BOT) and public investment models.
The project is divided into multiple segments to accelerate construction progress. The goal is to complete the entire road by 2027. Once finished, Ring Road 4 will play a strategic role in connecting industrial parks, satellite cities, and other vital transportation routes in the region. This will not only help alleviate traffic congestion in Hanoi's inner city but also facilitate the transportation of goods, boosting trade and investment.
The commencement and implementation of the Hanoi Ring Road 4 project is excellent news for millions of residents and businesses in Hanoi, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, and neighboring provinces. The project will not only improve transportation infrastructure but also open up new development spaces, attract investment, create jobs, and enhance the quality of life for people in the region. This marks a significant step in realizing the development master plan for the Capital Region and the Northern area.
